Kerrick is an African-American boy with an engaging personality. He is active and thrives on individual attention. Kerrick enjoys getting outdoors and playing football. When that is not possible, he spends his quiet indoor time playing his Gameboy, drawing, or analyzing the needs of his Matchbox cars collection. A bright boy, Kerrick does very well in school. He enjoys both reading and math, although, his favorite subject is Physical Education. Kerrick is a willing and diligent student who works hard to complete assignments. He hopes to use his education a ![]() nd spirited work ethic in a future career as an actor. Asaad is enrolled in a special education
school. He does very well academically and is working to stay on task while in
class. His favorite class is Physical Education. Thus, Asaad is learning to
condition his mid and body in an effort to realize his career desire to be
professional football player. However, his favorite athlete is basketball great

In regard to school, Janiqua’s positive attitude towards her studies is evidenced by her diligent efforts at constant improvement. Her favorite subject is Mathematics. In addition, Janiqua is very athletic. An avid New Jersey Nets and Jason Kidd fan, Janiqua enjoys playing basketball. She also likes to dance, and hopes someday to make it her profession. A little pink, red and blue, and a lot of love can surely win this child’s affection. Janiqua desires to be in a loving home with younger siblings whom she can mentor. Zakiyyah is a fun loving, African-American girl who enjoys interactive educational experiences and recreational activities. Outdoors, Zakiyyah likes to swim, run, and play kickball with her friends, whereas she prefers listening to the music of Selena and doing art projects in her quieter time. Zakiyyah is athletically inclined and aspires to be a “track star” someday. She also enjoys watching her favorite athlete, Vince Carter, play basketball for the New Jersey Nets. Zakiyyah works diligently in school and regards mathematics as her strongest subject. She hopes to have a career as a doctor or child-care worker when she gets older. Bakim is an intelligent, creative, active, African-American young man who enjoys playing basketball, track and field, and cooking. His true passion is acting. In his free time he thoroughly enjoys watching the Disney Channel especially Miley Cyrus. He enjoys movies like High School Musical and the Cheetah Girls. Attending church and performing in the choir is also a favorite activity for Bakim. Bakim is an excellent student. He loves going to school and receives very good grades. Tanasia is a fun loving, artistic, bright, African-American little girl with a warm heart. When Tanasia is not practicing her violin, she can be found riding her bike, playing with her hula-hoop, dancing, playing soccer or shooting a basketball. When she is relaxing she enjoys watching “High School Musical” or listening to her favorite singers “Chris Brown” and “Ne-Yo.” Tanasia also takes pleasure in playing with animals. Her favorite animals are bunnies, dogs, and especially kittens Tanasia is doing very well in school and will be attending performing arts school in the fall 2008. Her future goal in life is to be a pediatrician. Her favorite subject in school is science because she enjoys doing experiments. Tanasia has a wonderful role model in her life; her teacher. This teacher possesses qualities that Tanasia values. Her teacher is hard working, kind, funny, and supportive. Coincidentally, are qualities that can be found in Tanasia. Yvonne is a beautiful artistic, athletic, little girl who enjoys helping people and having fun. In her free time, Yvonne enjoys jumping rope, playing, soccer, painting, drawing, and making up songs to sing. Yvonne is doing well in school and would like to be a nurse someday. Her favorite subject is math but she also loves gym – especially when they class jumps rope. Yvonne hopes the family she lives with will enjoy some of the things she like such as listening to “Beyonce”, the color pink, playing with her favorite animal, rabbits or eating ice cream, pizza, or barbeque chicken. Chanel appears shy at first, but loves to dance and enjoys creating dance moves with her sister. Chanel likes to color and listen to music, especially Beyonce and Chris Brown. She has a very good appetite and enjoys a variety of foods. Her favorites are chicken and spaghetti. Chanel is involved in various spiritual and creative activities. She is a praise dancer at her church where she was baptized last year. Chanel has also participated in her youth group Cotillion. Presently she is attending camp. Despite obstacles in her past, Chanel continues to be an energetic and active girl who is capable of anything she puts her mind to. Chanel has completed her first year of high school. She loves school and has often received positive comments from her teachers. In school, Chanel enjoys playing educational games and using the computer. Chanel will thrive in a family that will

10/16/95 Nusheen is an intelligent, friendly, sociable, and energetic African-American teenage girl. Her love of sports is very evident, as she enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, soccer and also loves to run track. Some of her other favorite past time activities include playing games like Uno, Checkers, and Scrabble. She also claims to be a good singer and enjoys listening the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Soulja Boy, Keisha Cole, and Bow Wow. Nusheen enjoys going to school and maintains good grades. She has dreams of attending Yale and one day becoming a pediatrician so that she can help kids be healthy and strong.
