Tiffaney is a cute, independent African American girl with a warm smile.  She enjoys helping adults when asked and loves to receive positive attention, although sometimes she tries to hide it.  She is working on being less guarded with adults.  Tiffaney occupies her time playing educational games on the computer, playing with her stuffed animals or collecting treasures while playing or out for a walk.  Tiffaney loves to be outside exploring nature which includes digging in the dirt to see what interesting creatures she can find.  She also has loves animals and listening to music.  Tiffaney enjoys school and tries to conduct herself as a model student, even though she has some educational limitations. 

Tiffaney currently resides in a therapeutic foster home where she is working on improving her social skills and allowing herself to be loved and nurtured.  She is also working on accepting redirection without feeling angry with herself.  Tiffaney deserves a patient and nurturing family to provide her with long-term stability.  She also needs a family to be more interactive with her, as she has a tendency to isolate herself from others.

Wafiq is a humorous, bright and adorable African American boy. He is very active and loves outdoor activities such as bike riding and using his scooter. Wafiq also loves being read to and putting puzzles together.

Wafiq has made tremendous strides in school since coming to the program. He now brings home a “Perfect Day Prize” for good behavior and listening in school almost every day.  His teacher speaks highly of his motivation to complete his assignments.

Wafiq currently resides in a therapeutic foster home where he is learning to trust adults and his peers and to follow the rules of the house. Wafiq has monthly visits with his younger brother, which he always looks forward to.
               

This curious, humorous child is in need of a structured, nurturing family who will open up their loving  home and allow him to be nurtured and grow.

Kerrick is an African-American boy with an engaging personality.  He is active and thrives on individual attention.  Kerrick enjoys getting outdoors and playing football.  When that is not possible, he spends his quiet indoor time playing his Gameboy, drawing, or analyzing the needs of his Matchbox cars collection.

A bright boy, Kerrick does very well in school.  He enjoys both reading and math, although, his favorite subject is Physical Education.  Kerrick is a willing and diligent student who works hard to complete assignments.  He hopes to use his education a

nd spirited work ethic in a future career as an actor.

Kerrick desires a family where he can enjoy the camaraderie of siblings, and perhaps the companionship of a family pet (a dog); add a meal that includes Chicken Patties and this young boy will feel that he has found himself a slice of heaven.  Kerrick deserves a patient, loving family that will encourage his social and academic development, and support his dreams.  He needs the unconditional love that will help him feel more secure.

Kairi


5/29/95

Kairi is a handsome, sweet, bright African American boy with a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor.  Kairi enjoys socializing and has a proclivity for helping younger children. Kairi enjoys playing basketball, soccer and other outdoor activities.  His favorite sports team is the Toronto Raptors, and his sports heroes include Tiki Barber, Carmelo Anthony, and LeBron James.  Kairi is an avid video and computer game player as well.

Kairi works diligently at his studies and responds well to positive reinforcement.  He is eager to learn and takes pride in his accomplishments.  Kairi would like to have a career as a policeman someday because he says he wants to help people.

Kairi envisions himself in a loving home where he can have a younger brother or sister, so that he can help take care of them.  Kairi is a lovable, affectionate child who will thrive from having a family who will provide the loving care and nurturing he deserves.

Assad


10/23/97

Asaad is a very bright, personable, outgoing and energetic African-American boy. His zeal for outdoor activities includes riding his bike/scooter and plying football. In ore relaxed mode Assad can be found spending time with friends, playing video games, and hanging out at the Boys & Girls Club. There you can find him getting mentored by his role mode and counselor Matt  .

Asaad is enrolled in a special education school. He does very well academically and is working to stay on task while in class. His favorite class is Physical Education. Thus, Asaad is learning to condition his mid and body in an effort to realize his career desire to be professional football player. However, his favorite athlete is basketball great Michael Jordan.

If you are found of exotic animals, e.g. Spider Monkeys ( or even if you're not), enjoy pizza from time to time ( or more preferably, insist on it as a steady diet), have children that like having siblings as much as Asaad does (or even if you don't), Asaad deserves a family that will provide a warm and loving environment, in addition to one that will commit to helping him achieve his goals.

Janiqua

2/2/96

Janiqua is an attractive, congenial, African-American young lady who seeks adult approval and thrives on praise.  She enjoys helping to prepare meals with her caretakers and participating in household chores.  While receiving an ‘education’ in domestic responsibility, Janiqua has developed endearing relationships with staff members at the PATH II group home where she presently resides, and looks up to Allison as her mentor and role model.

In regard to school, Janiqua’s positive attitude towards her studies is evidenced by her diligent efforts at constant improvement.  Her favorite subject is Mathematics.  In addition, Janiqua is very athletic.  An avid New Jersey Nets and Jason Kidd fan, Janiqua enjoys playing basketball.  She also likes to dance, and hopes someday to make it her profession.

A little pink, red and blue, and a lot of love can surely win this child’s affection.  Janiqua desires to be in a loving home with younger siblings whom she can mentor.  She deserves a stable, nurturing environment where this “diamond-in-the-rough” can be polished, for she is ready to shine.

Andrea

Andrea is an energetic and playful Bi-Racial little girl whose infectious laughter will warm your heart. Most days she can be found swinging on swings, riding her bike, and running around the playground.  Indoor activities that strike her fancy include reading animal books and coloring.  Expect bright, sunny pictures in that her favorite color is yellow.

As Andrea embarks upon an educational experience, she is learning to improve her attention span and relationships with others.  Whereas no specific career aspirations exist at this time, a strong start to her education process will be the foundation to a number of options in which only the sky will be her limit.  In the meantime, Andrea enjoys reading adventures about her favorite animals which include bunnies, lambs, lions and kitty cats.

Andrea does not demand much more than a home where she can enjoy her favorite meal; spaghetti.  However, she is deserving of so much more.  Andrea needs a family that can provide guidance, stability, structure, and love to enable her to reach her full potential.

Zakiyyah is a fun loving, African-American girl who enjoys interactive educational experiences and recreational activities.  Outdoors, Zakiyyah likes to swim, run, and play kickball with her friends, whereas she prefers listening to the music of Selena and doing art projects in her quieter time.  Zakiyyah is athletically inclined and aspires to be a “track star” someday.  She also enjoys watching her favorite athlete, Vince Carter, play basketball for the New Jersey Nets.

Zakiyyah works diligently in school and regards mathematics as her strongest subject.  She hopes to have a career as a doctor or child-care worker when she gets older.  At present, Zakiyyah takes pleasure in her daily personal growth experiences while interacting with her mentor and role model, a staff worker.

Capri is an energetic, tall, beautiful, African-American young lady who thrives on one on one attention and socializing with peers.  She enjoys modeling, shopping, reading and playing video games in her spare time. Capri is a very active and enthusiastic young lady. You can find her cheerleading, listening to her favorite music artist Chris Brown, or reading her favorite books.

In school Capri loves drawing and digital photography. With a little guidance Capri can create wonderful artistic pieces. Her career aspiration is to work in the fashion industry because she enjoys modeling and trendy fashions. 

When Capri is given clear expectations and goals, she does very well at completing task such as chores and homework.

Chardia

Chardia is a sweet, African-American young woman with a wonderful sense of humor and charismatic smile.  Chardia enjoys helping with tasks throughout the day, whether it’s cleaning, cooking, running errands, or grocery shopping. She is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Chardia can be found doing her hair and listening to her favorite R&B artists “Pretty Ricky” or “Ne-Yo”.  Chardia is an excellent singer and enjoys dancing around the house.

She enjoys watching football and basketball and participates in boxing at the local PAL Program.

 In school Chardia participates in all her subjects and activities and is learning to communicate her concerns effectively.   She has made great strides using the coping skills she has learned in the group home and continues to improve in the area accepting responsibility for her behaviors.  Her career aspiration is to study cosmetology and become a famous hair stylist to the stars.

 Chardia doesn’t ask for more than a family that will love and care for her.  A family that will praise her for her many strengths, abilities, and accomplishments, but understanding and patient with her shortcomings will help her flourish and fulfill her dreams and aspirations.

He enjoys movies like High School Musical and the Cheetah Girls.  Attending church and performing in the choir is also a favorite activity for Bakim.

Bakim is an excellent student.  He loves going to school and receives very good grades.  He is presently on the honor roll and his favorite subject is math. He is highly motivated to achieve in school.  

 Bakim’s future goal is to be in the entertainment industry.  He desires to be an actor on the Disney Channel.  He also enjoys dancing and singing.

When Tanasia is not practicing her violin, she can be found riding her bike, playing with her hula-hoop, dancing, playing soccer or shooting a basketball.  When she is relaxing she enjoys watching “High School Musical” or listening to her favorite singers “Chris Brown” and “Ne-Yo.”  Tanasia also takes pleasure in playing with animals.  Her favorite animals are bunnies, dogs, and especially kittens

Tanasia is doing very well in school and will be attending performing arts school in the fall 2008.  Her future goal in life is to be a pediatrician.  Her favorite subject in school is science because she enjoys doing experiments.

Lequan enjoys attending school.  He likes interacting with his friends while mastering his favorite subject, math.  His dream is to become a lawyer one day.
