Kayla

Kayla is one of the funniest eleven year olds I know.  Everyone enjoys being around her because she is always able to bring a smile to your face and her “one-liners” are sure to get you laughing.  Being outside is Kayla’s favorite place to be.  Despite breaking her arm on her skateboard, she has no fear of jumping right back on to practice her skills.  On her bicycle, Kayla emulates Evil Knievil as she speeds down the streets and tries to do many tricks. She also enjoys playing many different sports; she throws a great spiral pass with the football, has a great shot in basketball and can bat and catch like a pro in baseball.  She has not played on an organized sports team, but would be a great asset to any team.  Playing the guitar is a major passion for Kayla.  On her eleventh birthday she received a guitar that she is learning to play with the help of a staff member; however, she could become a true guitarist after lessons from a professional.  Academically, Kayla is eager to learn more and strives to catch-up to her peers.  She meets with a tutor at least once a week, but parents that can help her attain her academic goals are key.

Kayla used to always tell me that she wants a family that is rich, has a swimming pool, lives in a mansion and can buy her a nice car when she gets older; however, she is now starting to recognize the important, intangible qualities that make up a good family.  She believes that parents need to take good care of her, treat her well, be kind, love her and give her chances amongst many other things.  Kayla deserves to live in a family that possesses all of these qualities and more.  She longs to live in a family and wants to be able to settle into her own place.

For more information about Kayla and other children like him, please feel free to contact Elizabeth Soto, Path to Adoption Recruiter at (201) 226-0300 ext. 245.

Markius needs a family to be invested in him and provide him with the proper guidance, structure, stability, love and support.  Markius has had a roller-coaster of a life and he needs a family who can ride that roller coaster with him and let him know that, in the end, he will be safe and life will improve.  Can you be that family?

Despite living in the foster care system for a majority of his life, Izon remains hopeful that he will find his forever family.  If you ask him what he is looking for in a family, he says that the family must be “nice,” “have a dog (but it’s ok if they don’t),” and “help me with things.”  Amongst these very important qualities, a family interested in Izon must be patient, understanding and able to motivate Izon.  With a loving, kind, considerate and nurturing family, Izon will continue to flourish and be a wonderful addition to any home.

Jasmine has a very sweet personality.  She is very active, self-directed, a good communicator and helpful.  Jasmine is organized and expressive.  Jasmine can be a great leader when given the opportunity.  Jasmine enjoys technology and gadgets and with the right supports and guidance she may be an inventor in the making.
